The Philippines is situated right at the heart of Southeast Asia, making it a strategic trading route for ships and cargo in the region. DP World is present in the Philippines through its stake in Asian Terminals Inc.
Through the years, publicly-listed Asian Terminals has evolved to become a diversified port operator known for providing efficient services for containerised cargo, general, bulk and break-bulk cargoes, as well as passengers and domestic cargo.
ATI is the sole container terminal and multi-cargo port operator of the Manila South Harbor, a modern five finger type pier facility located at the Port of Manila, the Philippines’ main seaport.
The company also provides seamless and integrated port solutions to customers through facilities outside Manila which include:
• Port of Batangas – located 110 km south of Manila, this modern port provides passenger handling, ro-ro transport and break-bulk cargo handling through its Phase 1 facility. Its newly opened container terminal (Phase 2) has an annual capacity of 400,000 TEUs, equipped with two quay cranes and cargo stacking equipment.
• Mariveles Grain Terminal – located 173 km north of Manila, MGT is one of Asia’s most advanced facilities for bulk handling of grains. MGT can accommodate 70,000-dwt vessels, discharge cargo at 10,000-MT daily and store 180,000-MT of grains.
• Inland Clearance Depot – located 36 km south of Manila, ICD serves as a strategic link between Manila South Harbor and economic locators of South Luzon. It is an all weather concrete paved container yard with an annual capacity of 100,000 TEUs.
• Port of General Santos – located in the southern tip of the Philippines, the Port of General Santos is a multi-cargo terminal which serves as an ideal gateway to the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines growth region.
ATI is the first organisation and first marine terminal in the Philippines to achieve an ISO 28000 certification. The Company is also ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.
